Plaquemines Parish Government announced a new acting Director of Operations, Thursday afternoon.
Scott Rousselle, the new Director of Operations, previously held the position of Superintendent for Solid Waste North.
Mr. Rousselle started with Plaquemines Parish Government in February 2003 and has worked in the Operation Management field for over 20 years. Rousselle, the new administrator for the government operations, is an operation management advocate with experience in maintenance of storm drainage infrastructure including drainage pump stations; maintenance of grass, shrubs, trees, including the management of beautification projects; managing maintenance of planning, engineering, and construction management.
“I’m very excited for my new role with this administration,” Rousselle said. “As Plaquemines continues to evolve, I look forward to maintaining the citizens’ operational needs.”
Mr. Rousselle has been a vital asset to the PPG staff over the last 16 years. As he is a fundamental contributor for the Parish, during and following, disaster recovery and debris removal efforts in all major hurricanes. In 2016, he, with the Plaquemines Parish Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, led in recovery and rescue efforts during the Louisiana Great Flood, specifically in the Baton Rouge area.
