Plaquemines Parish Holds Hurricane Preparedness Meeting
Hurricane preparedness is underway in Plaquemines Parish. Parish entities gathered together to prepared for a very unique hurricane season due to COVID-19.
Discussions included the importance of having supplies, how to effectively evacuate, production of sandbags, and the importance of registering in advance for the parish’s emergency alert text/call notification system.
The Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness has coordinated with several local agencies to provide information to parish residents, businesses, and leaders to be prepared for the 2020 hurricane season.
